Bill Utter and Carl Anderson from Bill Utter Ford presented Argyle Running Back Layton Lowery with the Built Ford Tough Texas High School Football Player of the Week at a pep rally on November 19th. The 5-11, 205 Lowry played a major role in the Eagles 56-45 win over Sanger on November 5th to help clinch the 9-3A district title. Lowry carried the ball 31 times for 301 yards and four touchdowns. He finished the regular season with 1,235 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns.
Layton Lowry is also an all-district outfielder in baseball and has a 3.5 GPA. He is a member of the Argyle student council and the FCA. “Layton has it all,” says Coach Todd Rogers. “He’s elusive, has good size and breakaway speed. Because he’s so compact, it’s tough for any one defender to bring him down. He’s our captain and a terrific leader.
Bill Utter Ford has been a strong supporter of local high schools and high school athletics since it was established in 1956. The dealership is located at 4901 S. I-35E in Denton, Texas.
